An Indian tennis group will venture out to Pakistan without precedent for a long time to contend in a Davis Cup tie, The Indian Express provided details regarding Saturday.

The Indian group's interest in the Asia/Oceania Group 1 away tie was affirmed by The All India Tennis Association (AITA). The occasion will be hung on September 14-15 at the Pakistan Sports Complex in Islamabad.

"Truly, we will go," AITA Secretary General Hironmoy Chatterjee disclosed to The Indian Express. "It's the World Cup of tennis and not a two-sided arrangement, so there is no ban on any front."

For over 10 years, most games facilitated by Pakistan were stayed away from by India — the last noteworthy game being the 2007 cricket visit to Pakistan, as per The Indian Express.

The draw for the Davis Cup was out in February, however following the Pulwama assault, the group's odds of participating seemed dreary. A month ago, in any case, the Indian games service "clarified that the choice to contend in the tie remained exclusively with the AITA", said the production.

Addressing The Indian Express, a senior authority had put the onus on AITA. "Sports service does not meddle in group choices, cooperation of competitions or visits to nations by sportspersons," he had said.

Following a review of the occasion's setting in Islamabad by the International Tennis Federation's (ITF), the Indian tennis body declared its choice.

"The ITF had sent delegates to Islamabad on the 22nd of this current month," said Chatterjee. "When they cleared it, we sent our subtleties to the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) with the goal that they could issue the welcome letter. That letter has come, so we have begun the visa application process. It takes around four to five weeks to finish the visa procedure."

At the point when the two groups went head to head each other toward the end in 2006 at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai, India scored a 3-2 win to take the side's no holds barred count against Pakistan to 6-0.

The last squad for the challenge is yet to be declared by the AITA for what will be the seventh gathering between the two neighbors.

"The group will authoritatively be declared later, and it will be founded on rankings," said Chatterjee. "Be that as it may, we pretty much know the group."

The victor will acquire a spot in the World Group playoffs planned to occur one year from now.
